Pets of Summer
The 91国产自拍 (‘The City’) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI’s) to create temporary sculptural artworks that are themed around our much-loved pets. The City is inviting artists of the Midwest the opportunity to submit a concept design that captures the love and happiness of family and the joy our pets bring to us humans.
The City’s Public Art Collection is a valuable community asset which contributes immeasurably to community wellbeing, sense of place and civic identity. The City commissions artists to create “temporary and ephemeral” public art, as well as supporting the delivery of permanent public art through the City’s Public Art Strategy 2020 – 2025. This Public Art Strategy supports the commissioning of innovation public artworks which enhance and grow this collection.
Proposed artworks must be original creative works and must be a standalone 3D sculptural artwork. Only concepts from artists living in the Midwest Region will be considered. The City requires a concept design/sketch of the proposed artwork and a brief description of the materials/and size of artwork. Proposals must be submitted through the online form below by close of business (COB) by 16 October 2024.
