Strategic Community Plan Review 2024
The City is undertaking a major review of its Strategic Community Plan, our ten year plan that captures the community’s long-term aspirations for where we live, work, study, play and invest.
The Plan describes the community's vision the City will strive to achieve over the next ten years, where it will focus its efforts and how it will measure progress.
The City has been engaging with the community since early November 2024 to ensure the new plan reflects the community’s vision for the place we all call home.
We are currently collating the results of our our may Community Survey and Community Conversations which included a number of workshops (both in person and online) that were held between 23 November and 4 December. These workshops brought together people of all ages and backgrounds who contributed their ideas and aspirations to the project.
A number of pop-up Community Conversations were held across the City at various locations, weekend markets and events. The team spoke with community members of all ages and backgrounds and enjoyed hearing what they liked most about the City and their ideas on how to make it an even better place to live.
The Your Voice Our Future Team will now begin collating the results of our engagement activities and will swing back into action in March 2025 when the draft plan is completed (see timeline below).
