Birds
There are over 150 species of native birds (both resident and migratory) found in the Geraldton region, including endangered species such as the Carnaby’s black cockatoo and Common Greenshank. Birdlife Midwest Geraldton have recorded 148 bird species at the Greenough River mouth, including 32 species of shorebirds and 115 bird species at the Chapman River Estuary, hence these are great places to visit and observe our native bird species.
